Prerequesite: experience with setting up a research and a search strategy

This workshops is particularly meant for people with 'distance' to the university because of mobility, impairment, health risk or other challenges.

The workshop will be recorded. If requested the workshop will be record and there will be live captioning.

Two days in advance you receive an email with exercises and a Zoomlink and password

 

Learning goals

  1. You are able to determine, elaborate, and name sources based on your information needs.               
  2. You can reflect on your approach and results of a search string. (strategy).
  3. You are able to assess the credibility/relevance of information, using certain indicators.
  4. You can correctly cite sources. You know why this is important and what the risks are of incorrect referencing (plagiarism).
  5. You can explain the importance of copyright and know the main rules.
  6. You able to adapt your form of communication to your message and target group.

  • The workshop aims at people with knowledge of searching and combining searvch terms, but want to know more about further steps.
