Date: 7 November 2023 @ 16:00 - 18:00

Timezone: Amsterdam

This session of Bytes & Bites will focus on Software Management Plans (SMPs) and how your software project can benefit from planning ahead. SMPs are relevant for beginners and professionals alike and can be applied to any project of any size in any language. We will learn together how to create a SMP and discover in a playful way what components matter to our project.

Our guest speaker Dr. Carlos Martinez-Ortiz currently works as a community Manager at the Netherlands eScience Center and was one of the original contributors to the creation of SMPs in the Netherlands.

Do you want to meet other researchers, improve your programming skills, or ask questions related to programming? Pick up your laptop and come to Bytes & Bites. We're back in full swing for another edition of our coding cafe Bytes & Bites

At Bytes & Bites anyone is welcome, whether you are a beginner or advanced programmer, whether you write in R or in C++

And of course, you can't program and work with "Bytes" without any tasty "Bites"! We'll make sure there is pizza or snacks available!

More information about Bytes & Bites and all materials from previous sessions can be found here: https://ubvu.github.io/bytes-and-bites/

We will meet at the O|2 building, room 01W08 - come in as you like and leave when you have to.
