Timezone: Amsterdam
Join us for a day of insightful discussions and reflections on Open Science and knowledge equity as we celebrate signing the Declaration on Knowledge Equity and joining the Knowledge Equity Network.
The Knowledge Equity Network aims at bringing together a community that brings research, education, and societal impact to the world in an equitable way). The network strives to mainstream openness, accessibility and inclusivity amongst learners, leaders, institutions and individuals that are committed to the fundamental principle of knowledge equity. Open and collaborative practices of knowledge creation and dissemination are considered critical to making knowledge accessible to all.
In line with the university’s dedication to fostering an environment of inclusivity and accessibility in scientific research, the VU Executive Board has taken a significant step by signing the Declaration on Knowledge Equity and joining the Knowledge Equity Network.
Our Symposium on Knowledge Equity, scheduled for June 20th, will serve as a platform to celebrate this important milestone. During the event, speakers from VU and international partner universities will highlight the importance of knowledge equity and the ongoing efforts to promote it on the global scale.
From keynote addresses to panel discussions, the event promises to inspire meaningful discussion and collaborative action towards a more equitable and inclusive scientific landscape.
Ensure you grasp this opportunity to engage in a transformative scholarly dialogue and contribute to the realisation of a future characterised by universal accessibility to scientific knowledge.
