During the final Maktub Film Night with passion talks of the academic year, not one student, but an entire group takes the spotlight. One by one, members of the study association for Film and Literature Studies will champion a short film that fascinates them.

Eline Balster shares her passion for Lucky Three: An Elliott Smith Portrait (Jem Cohen, 1997), an experimental documentary about the American singer-songwriter. The short animated film from the Soviet Union, Road to Eternity (Vladimir Pekar, 1983), will also be screened, with an explanation by Filip van Dijk about the unique mixture of animation and music styles in this film. Then it's the participants' turn to watching everything from music videos to narrative short films, each with an introduction by a passionate speaker.

Participants are invited to bring short films that they are passionate about.
