OpenRefine is a free tool to help you work with messy data. It allows for, for example, cleaning and normalising irregularities, transforming data from one format into another, and enriching data by guided import of external (meta)data. In this introductory workshop you will learn how to use OpenRefine's powerful functionalities by 'refining' representative example messy data into a dataset that shines like a diamond.

Instructors: Ben Companjen, Kristina Hettne (University Libraries, Centre for Digital Scholarship)

Target audience: Researchers (all, including PhD candidates), support staff

Registration: Please register for this workshop beforehand by filling out this form.
