Learn to set up a search strategy from your topic selection to executing your strategy. What steps are useful, and what to pay attention to. Learning to combine search terms effectively is part of this. Also the usefulness of a logbook is explained and how you can (partly) manage it.

The workshop is suitable as a refresher.

You learn

  • Inform yourself about the availability of academic information
  • Select and assess appropriate sources
  • What criteria help you determine the reliability (or importance) of information
  • Set up and execute a reasoned search strategy

Want to improve your search strategy?

Then consider taking Module 3 (Reflecting and Improving Your Strategy) for more in-depth information and advice. This builds on your strategy in Module 2, so save it. If you don't have it, I'll give you an assignment. Both act as starting points for the workshop.

Uncertain of your basics? Consider Module 1.
